I've decided that baseball stadiums are not good places to have rock concerts. Last night I was up in Milwaukee for the Springsteen show at Miller Park. This was my second Springsteen show in a baseball stadium. They set the stage up in center field with some seats in the outfield. The sound booth/tent/camp was at second base with the rest of the infield roped off. At my first show in August, we had seats right behind home plate and they sucked. I don't like going to concerts where you're so far back that the video screens are out of sync with the sound.
For the show last night I got lucky somehow and had seats on the field. We were way off on the side so it was kind of a weird angle. The layout of a baseball stadium just isn't conducive to concerts. And the layout of seats on the field wasn't exactly organized. I had to ask four people where our seats were and they in turn were asking people. The seats were folding chairs and at the end of each row was a little paper tag hanging with the row and section number. We were in row 22 so I was pretty excited when I found row 21 after quite a bit of searching. I stepped one row back and flipped over the tag and what did I find? Another row 21. There were 2 row 21's. I kept asking my brother if I was insane. Call me old fashioned, but I was raised that you can't have the same row twice in a row. But I guess I was wrong. Don't get me wrong, both shows were great, but concerts don't belong in baseball stadiums.

Well, so much for blogging this week. Sorry I haven't been around for quite a while. My summer in a nutshell: I took a new day job in June, and the whole process of starting a new day job has taken up quite a bit of time. I am enjoying it quite a bit so it's not really a bad thing, but unfortunately it has kept me from music a little more than I had hoped. But that's changing... It's been too long since I was out playing so we're working on that right now.
Let's see, what else.... There's a new website coming for "Falling Off the Merry-Go-Round". There will probably be some promotions to go with that like maybe an unreleased song or two. Speaking of songs, I've been writing and playing and writing a bunch so I should have some new songs ready to go fairly soon. Right now I'm really just pushing the guys to finish the new website so once that's done(hopefully in the next couple weeks) so once that's done we can really focus on getting some shows scheduled.
Thanks for hanging in there through the downtime.

I'm sorry I haven't put anything here in a while. This week I'm going to blog. There's a bunch of stuff I've been meaning to write about, and this week it should happen. No promises, but this week looks very good. Now I must go sleep.
