I was pretty excited to see this week that my record was up for sale in the Apple iTunes Music Store. Out of all the places that it's getting distributed to, I thought that would be the last one it showed up on, but it looks like it was the first. I'm a big advocate of the iTunes Music Store. Once you start using, you'll begin to understand why I think this is the way things are going to go in terms of purchasing music.

Now that I'm starting to get a better idea of where things are heading for me, I want to take a minute to give some news that maybe some people will see as bad. I don't really see it that way, but maybe to some it will be. It's looking like the Burning Daylight is no more. What does that mean exactly? Well, I haven't played with the band since April of last year. I've talked with the guys, and right now everyone has other things/projects/life going on. Plus the near future is looking more acoustic than electric to me. Does this mean there won't be any more "band" shows? Absolutely not. I love playing with a band, and miss it a lot right about now. Hopefully there will be some opportunities this spring to get out with an entire band, but the lineup won't be the Burning Daylight. It might feature former members(cross your fingers), but I don't think it would be fair to those who were involved to call it the Burning Daylight anymore.

Despite there not being a "band" anymore, I have no plans to play just by myself. At the end of the month it looks like I'll be joined by Dan Olson on guitar and Mike Gerbitz on rhythm section-esque instruments. You might remember Dan from some shows he played at a couple years ago. I'm psyched for the evening and look forward to trying out some new things.

Happy New Year! I'm very excited today because I'm Back! I set up a date today at a little coffee house in the 'burbs. It's a cool intimate joint to play, and I'm real excited because it's been six months since I did a real show. This should be just the beginning because I'm Back! Right now the show is going to be acoustic hopefully with a few guests joining me. It's going to be a good time for all so mark your calendars. I've been working on the sequel to Falling Off the Merry-Go-Round so maybe I'll have a few of those newer tunes finished. Check the tour page for more info.
