Man, I'm feelin' pretty good. I think I've got a cool new song about 98% finished. I'm still fiddlin' with the bridge, but the verses and choruses are done. I'm excited about this one. I'll probably debut this one next week. I've been workin' on a demo of it all night so it should be ready. Of course I could be wrong, and this tune could turn out to be nothing, but so far I'm liking it.

So when the demo is done that might be one of those things that finds its way onto the website somewhere. We're working on getting the rep program figured out right now, and I think something like the demo could end up in the reps' hands. We'll see what happens. Anyway, back to the studio...

I don't get it. Some things in this world just don't make sense at all. Like tonight. We were driving home from the Five for Fighting show at Schuba's. We're sitting at a stoplight out in the 'burbs, and this low rumblin' comes rolling up next to us. You know, it's like the theme from Jaws approaching. I look over to my left to find out where the noise is coming from, and I'm a little surprised. There's a little blue 4 door Subaru with the bumper shaking so hard it looks like it's going to fall off. The driver was slumped down in his seat. Maybe he thought he was cool. I think he was embarrassed. The thing that never makes sense to me are people who crank the bass like that. I could go into the physics of the whole thing, but the bottom line is that people outside and around the car can hear the bass better than the people in the car. Sooooooo, I don't know why any self-respecting dude who was trying to look cool would crank the bass in his little 4 door Subaru. He should just put flashing lights on the roof because then at least it wouldn't shake his bumper off.

Now I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with little blue 4 door Subaru's. I just think that that's the type of car designed for a different purpose. It's not a low-rider; it's a sedan for getting from point A to B. This guy's car just wasn't going with his image.

Now on top of that we get about two blocks from the light and there's a Saturn station wagon coming right up on me. When he realized I wasn't in quite the same hurry he swerved around, and I got a look at his license plate. It read "Yanni" followed by a couple insignificant numbers. That's just not right. This is a crazy place. I think it's time to move to San Diego.

The website got a face lift today. Some things aren't working right, yet, like the gallery, but everything else should be working. If you notice anything that doesn't work, just email webmaster@diveproductions.com and give him a piece of your mind. If it works, tell him what you think of the new look.

In other news, the HogHead's show on the 12th of March has been postponed. Something came up for the venue. But don't worry, we're working on rescheduling right now for either late March or early April. Keep checking back for updates.

Thanks to everyone who made it out last Saturday. It was great to see all the new and old faces. It had really been too long since I played, and I had a blast. I really appreciate all of your support after the long break. I especially enjoyed playing with the band so hopefully you'll be seeing more of them in the future. Hopefully I'll have some pictures from the show by next week.
