Time flies. My personal life has been taking front and center these days which is why I haven't been posting much lately. I guess the culmination happened a couple weeks ago when my grandfather passed away followed just over a week later by my grandmother (other side of the family). My grandmother is the 8th person I've known to die this year, and at 30 years old that's kind of weird. It's been surreal.

The other side of things is that every week my wife's belly squirms more and more with our baby. Last night I watched as an elbow or knee or something cruised from one side of her stomach to the other. Any day I'm sure I'll be able to pick out toes. So on one side of my life I've got all this death, and then on the other side is this new life that is growing. It's an interesting perspective to have.

Aside from that I've also been busy helping get the twentysomething's ministry at my church going again, and in all honesty this is really where my heart is right now. We got together last night and played some music together and a friend of mine got up and talked about what God's been doing in his life lately. It might not sound like it, but it was really cool. There might be a CD project related to this thing, too, but who knows.

I am still writing a bit when the songs are coming, but it's pretty slow. I'm not done with this music thing, yet. It might be a new band or a new direction or just stuff maybe you didn't expect, but I don't think it's over, yet.
